Confidence For What Comes Next.

Mission: Redefining financial planning by empowering people to live boldly, retire confidently, and thrive long after.

My philosophy: Fiduciary first. Friend always.

Danielle Mefford has been helping individuals and families navigate their financial lives since 2012. As a fiduciary, she believes financial advice should begin with one simple principle: put the client first. To Danielle, being a financial advisor means more than managing investments or building retirement plans. It means knowing the people behind the portfolios-their families, concerns, goals, and the possibilities waiting underneath the numbers.

Her approach combines thoughtful financial planning with a personal, straightforward relationship built on trust. Danielle wants her clients to understand the why behind their financial decisions and feel comfortable asking questions, talking through concerns, and changing course when life changes. She believes the best advisor relationships aren’t transactional, they’re built over years and through many seasons of life.
That philosophy is at the heart of how Danielle defines her role: fiduciary and friend. She is committed to giving clients thoughtful, objective guidance, celebrate the milestones with them, and be there when financial decisions feel complicated or overwhelming.

Outside of the office, Danielle is married to the love of her life and a proud mother of two children. She loves spending time with her family, walking and volunteering. You’ll often find her outdoors, cooking or baking, or exploring a new corner of Hampton Roads with the people she loves most. Family is at the heart of her life and why she understands financial planning isn’t ultimately about account balances- it’s about taking care of the people you love and having the freedom to enjoy the life you’re building together.

That belief is also at the heart of Legacy Financial Planning. Danielle’s mission is to redefine financial planning by empowering people to live boldly, retire confidently, and thrive long after. A great financial plan shouldn’t simply prepare you for someday-it should help you live well along the way.
